living a surreal life,
in the indistinguishable medley
of dying night and dawning day.
Irrational obstinacy-
the remnant reluctance,
to destroy the tangled web
of a misjudged past.
Such humongous effort-
turning a blind eye,
to the insidious enticements
of the wicked unknown.
